shandrea evans, co-creator | producer
Shandrea Evans is an artist. Born and raised in Augusta, GA, she began acting at the age of six with local community theatre, The Augusta Mini Theatre. In the 7th grade she was accepted into the prestigious John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School, where she majored in theatre. Davidson is where she developed her unique, eclectic tastes and skillsets in the fine arts. As a top ranked magnet school, she was also challenged intellectually. Analyzing economic theory and Tennessee Williams in the same breath quickly became second nature.
After graduating Magna Cum Laude from the university of Georgia, Shandrea made the move to Los Angeles where she received internships with Edmonds Entertainment and Creative Artists Agency. After two successful LA internships, she then mustered up the wherewithal to cold email one of her idols, an up and coming actress/writer/producer in the emerging digital space named Issa Rae. Shandrea quickly joined the IRP team as a social media strategist and production assistant, and especially took under the wings of Issa’s producing partners Deniese Davis and Beneoni Tagoe. This, and other opportunities proved to be her film school over the 2 years. Soon, she was hired by NBCUniversal as a coordinator in it’s International Television department, where she has been able to learn about the international media landscape.
This amalgamation of all of her unique experiences has made Shandrea a filmmaker with a distinct perspective. The ability to understand business as well as art has proven invaluable as a producer. Shandrea is where creativity, culture, and commerce intersect. She produces and writes under her SLE Entertainment production company. Undecided is the first project that she has produced independently. She is currently developing other projects and looks forward to collaborating with other creatives. She enjoys the process of curating a team of unique, talented creators and making art together.
Whitney Anderson, Co-creator | director
At her core Whitney is a storyteller. Point. Blank. Period. The medium is irrelevant. Directing, writing, filming, photographing or putting together a dynamic marketing campaign, Whitney always strives to produce work that makes people feel. She has developed, written and produced sketch comedy content (“Real Housewives of the Projects”), the short film (“Makes Me Wanna Holler" ), a college entertainment show (“Behind the Scenes with World Wide Whit”), and an unscripted show concept chronicling the realities of the post grad world for recent college grads, (“Life After College”)
A native of South Carolina, Whitney graduated from Clemson University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and minor in Theatre. In college Whitney was known for creating content under her World Wide Whit Productions banner where she worked with organizations, produced student shows and eventually directed her first documentary, (“Eyes of the Tigers”) which highlighted the racial conditions and diversity at her college.
Most recently Whitney helped to manage Public Relations campaigns at Allied Moxy where she assisted with PR tactics for films such as Ted 2, Mad Max: Fury Road, Entourage, and Poltergeist.
